Room rate designation of a hotel

In general a hotel designates a standard rate for every and each category of room offered to their guest ,apart from their discounted rates to attract the additional bussiness from the multiple market segments

1.Rack rate:-hotels generally have a standard rate for each category of rooms offered for the accommodation of the guests .the standard rate of a particular type of room before any discount is called a rack rate 

2. Corporate rate:-It is the promotional rate to attract the corporate market segments.The corporate segments is generally lower than the rack rate
